When God made Eve for Adam, He didn't give them any 10 commandments on who to do chores, He didn't even give them 10 suggestions on how to do it, a help meet He made for Adam, but the HELP was not specifically defined, there was no daily rooster given to Eve to help her man, as a matter of fact there was not a single plate in Eden to be washed, no demand for a washing machine. The simple command was LOVE. a love that conditions us to do for our partner, and also do for ourselves. Love!
I want to be helped, just like God has designed my wife to do, but i don't need her to sleep in the kitchen in other to render the HELP I need, we can take turns to wash, and clean. I don't need her hands to be sore from washing my jeans, there are paid professionals who can handle that job even more than she can. I don't want her to sit through a 6 hours Lagos traffic after work and still come home to wash strong pomo and cook for me, that's not the kind of help I need, that is not the kind of help God wants her to be.
